Hi, I’m Mia. Welcome to my world. *

  • I’m Mia Mason, an artist, writer, actress, and mental health advocate. From an early age, I realized I was meant to be a storyteller. A graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design, I am the author and illustrator of Worry’s Whispers. My work combines compassion and kindness with the complexities of challenging topics, using creative expression as a tool for connection, healing, and advocacy.

  • My artistic style is centered on storytelling, blending compassion and kindness with the complexities of challenging topics. The inspiration behind my artwork mainly comes from my lived experience with OCD and my journey through recovery. I believe that art is a powerful tool for advocacy and connection. My hope is that my art reaches anyone struggling with mental health issues, specifically those with OCD, by showing them that they are not alone in their experiences.

I primarily create digital art in Procreate, which offers the ability to easily experiment with various styles and techniques that can be tailored to the message of each piece. One of my significant artistic influences is Charlie Mackesy, the author and illustrator of “The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse.” His ability to blend artwork with inspirational words and storytelling mirrors my aim to create narratives that help others feel less isolated in their experiences.

Although OCD has made it challenging for me to share both my artwork and my voice, I am actively working to reclaim the joy of sharing my creations with the world. After several years of hard work, I am excited to finally be in a position to inspire, empower, and advocate for fellow anxiety warriors.
